Science Readers: Our Resources

Our Resources is an expository text that explains natural resources, renewable and non-renewable resources, finding, getting and using resources, and the depletion of resources. An experiment invites students to explore the effects of overexploitation using popcorn. 

The book is divided into sections with subsections.  Sentences vary in length and structure.  Captioned and labeled photographs, graphs, drawings, and diagrams support and extend the text. Fact boxes add interest. A table of contents, glossary, and index are provided.

Glossary words are bold faced throughout the text.
