Science Readers: On Land

On Land is an informational text about the different landforms. The text uses the sentence stem “Land is _______.” A two-page activity written in procedural language invites students to explore making different kinds of land. 

All the sentences are short and predictable. Illustrations match the text directly. The book has a glossary and an index.

The text is composed of a few high-frequency words. Opposites are used to help students see the differences in types of land.
