Science Readers: Pollination

Pollination is an informational text that explains how plants and insects use teamwork to survive and thrive.  A two-page activity invites students to explore what is inside a flower. 

The book is divided into sections with some subsections.  Sentences vary in length and complexity.  Illustrations, labeled photographs, and diagrams support and enhance the text. Punctuation includes periods, commas, question marks, quotation marks, and exclamation marks. Italics are used for emphasis. Fact boxes provide additional information. A table of contents, a glossary, and an index support the reader.

Glossary words are bold faced throughout the text.
