Science Readers: Message Received!

Message Received! is an informational text that explores how our eyes and ears receive messages that help us understand the world. The book concludes with an experiment that involves musical water glasses.       

The book is divided into chapters and contains a table of contents, glossary, and index.  Sentences vary in type. Information is presented by the main text, images, labelled photographs, and illustrations.

Content-specific vocabulary such as funnel, eardrum, vibrate, nerve, and pupil is defined in context and in the glossary.  Pronunciation guides are provided for potentially unfamiliar words.
