Science Readers: DNA

DNA is an expository text that explains DNA, genes, chromosomes, genetics, the human genome, and cloning. A two-page activity invites students to explore the ideas in the text. 

The book is divided into sections with some subsections.   Sentences vary in length and structure.  Labeled photographs, a chart, a timeline, and diagrams support and extend the text.  Fact boxes add interest. Italics are used for emphasis. A table of contents, glossary and index are provided.

Glossary words are bold faced throughout the text.
