Science Readers: Analyze It!

Analyze It! is an informational text that explains the scientific method including forming a question, researching, creating a hypothesis, conducting an experiment, recording and analyzing data, drawing a conclusion, and sharing the results.  A two-page experiment invites students to explore how to use the scientific method to learn about plants.

The book is divided into sections. Sentences vary in length and structure.  Labeled photographs support the text. Fact boxes add interest. Callouts prompt readers to think about what they would do for each step of the scientific method.  A table of contents, a glossary and an index support the reader.

A pronunciation guide is given for some terms, such as hypothesis (hahy-POTH-uh-sis). Glossary words are bolded throughout the text.
