Ice Dwellers

Ice Dwellers is an informational report on the Inuit way of life, comparing homes, food, land and water transport, and clothing of Inuit peoples in the past and today. The style is informative and conversational. 

The book has a contents and is divided into seven sections.  Section headings are used.  The text is composed of a variety of sentence types.  Labelled and captioned photographs, both historical and contemporary and a map support the text and add meaning.  A comparison chart provides key facts about each topic.  A glossary and index are provided.  The book concludes with a two-page spread that provides the characteristics of informational reports.
