Snow and Ice

Snow and Ice is an expository text about things people can do in the ice such as go ice fishing, make ice sculptures, go skating and go skiing.

Labeled illustrations enhance and extend the meaning of the text and are found on each page. Callouts prompt prediction and allow students to make inferences. An index is presented.

Simple contractions are used. Many one and two-syllable words are used. To conclude, a yes/no chart is shown with questions that relate to ice. In addition, a word bank with text and imagery is provided.
