I Like Boxes
I Like Boxes is a fictional animal fantasy story about a mouse that likes to decorate boxes. The other mice are not happy! Readers gain information from the text, illustrations, symbols, and speech bubble.
I Like Boxes uses the sentence stem “I like boxes and…” Illustrations match the text. The story includes triggering in questions. There are critical thinking questions to guide the reader. A teacher guide for reading the text and visual information is provided for teachers to draw students’ attention to illustrations, starting points, and speech bubble.
