The Night Out
The Night Out is a realistic and humorous fiction story about a boy recounting the night his mom went out, and his dad suggested going to the movies. When they arrived at the theater, they realized that everyone was very dressed up. They were looking forward to Con the Swamp Monster movie…until they realized they were at the opera! The story is narrated from the boy’s perspective with dialogue between characters, illustrative text, text highlights, and speech bubbles.
