Science Readers: Water Bodies

Water Bodies is an informational text that describes how water bodies form and the different types of water bodies.  A two-page experiment  invites student to explore how water bodies change. 

The book is divided into sections and some subsections. Sentences vary in length and structure.  Labeled illustrations are used to enhance readers’ understanding of information. Fact boxes provide additional information.  A table of contents, glossary and index support the reader.

A pronunciation guide is provided for some words, such as precipitation (pri-sip-i-TEY-shuhn). Glossary words are bolded throughout the text.
