Science Readers: The Rock Cycle

The Rock Cycle is an expository text that describes the three types of rock, the processes of weathering and erosion, and the rock cycle.  An experiment invites students to explore how a rock changes through the rock cycle using crayons. 

The book is divided into section with some subsections.   Sentences vary in length and structure.  Captioned and labelled photographs and diagrams support and extend the text. Fact boxes add interest. A table of contents, glossary, and index are provided.

 Glossary words are bold faced throughout the text.
