Science Readers: The Right Environment

The Right Environment is an informational text that explains climate and ecosystems and describes land and water biomes.  A two-page activity invites students to explore if lima beans prefer a sunny or shady habitat. 

The book is divided into sections with some subsections.  Sentences vary in length and structure.   Illustrations, labeled photographs, maps, and diagrams support the text.  Fact boxes add interest. A table of contents, a glossary, and an index support the reader.

Glossary words are bold faced throughout the text.
