Fiction Readers: Sinbad the Sailor

Sinbad the Sailor is a humorous adventure story about a sailor continually getting left behind on different islands only to meet up with his crew later on.  

The story unfolds chronologically in third-person narrative following a single plot line.  The format is a beginning chapter book with illustrations that support and enhance the text.

Sinbad the Sailor uses some simple adjectives, adverbs, and descriptive language. The text uses several sentences that begin with subordinate clauses, phrases, and transitional words. Some dialogue is presented within the text in a variety of ways, including dialogue from multiple characters and unassigned dialogue.
