Dog's Diary
Dog’s Diary is a dog’s humorous diary. In it, we are let in on a week’s worth of events, thoughts, and feelings in a world with an annoying cat, a snooty poodle, and a granny with more than a few complaints. The first-person narrative is conversational.
The text is composed of a variety of sentence types. Humorous illustrations support the text. Headings are used for each diary entry. Quotation marks, exclamation marks, and parentheses are used. The book concludes with a two-page spread that provides the characteristics of a diary.
Some words may require clarification: poodle, trust, fuss, hisses. The suffix -ful (careful) is used.
