Celebrate Canada: It's Puzzling!

It’s Puzzling! is explanation/puzzle.  Characteristics of a Canadian animal are revealed in photographic puzzle pieces and readers are challenged to figure out which animal it is.  When the puzzle is complete, readers see a caribou and further information about the animal is provided.  The style is informative.

A series of clues in the first person, such as “I have beautiful antlers,” guides readers to naming the animal.  The sentences are simple in structure.  Headings, questions, labels, and boldface are used.  Photographs support the text directly.
