Bird's Feet

Birds’ Feet is an information text that shows how birds use their feet to climb, get food, and swim.  The text is largely composed of several repeating language patterns, such as “Look at this bird’s ________” and “This bird can ________.”

All the sentences are short and mostly predictable.  Vibrant photographs show each bird in action.  Inset photographs show detail.  Labels identify each bird and highlight the feet in the inset detail.  The book concludes with cameo photographs of each bird and an index.
