Download! is a realistic story about Amy, a Haida girl, who receives an advance copy of her cousin’s new music CD and is so excited that she makes copies for her friends.  When Amy realizes the harm she has caused, she tells the truth and takes steps to fix the problem. The book concludes with Teachings from Turtle Island and Turtle Island Circle, features that provide additional information and prompt reflection and extension.

The book has a Contents and is divided into chapters.  Most sentences are short and simple.  Illustrations support the text, although not all events are shown.  Speech and thought balloons are used. 

The vocabulary reflects the everyday speech of children.
