Turkey

Turkey is a realistic fiction about a turkey who escapes his pen and is chased around by a farmer who wants to eat him. The farmer runs into the pen after the turkey and is chased out by the other turkeys.

Illustrations support the text. An illustrative header is used to help children keep track of what has happened so far in the story.

There are mostly one and two syllable words. To conclude, a trail that tracks the turkey’s footsteps is shown on a map.
