Some words may require clarification: jade-coloured, hovering, cascading, casting, lure, laser beams, clamber, vanished.  Similes: landed like a bomb, flashed like laser beams, gasping like a fish out of water.  Metaphor: the ground vanished beneath my feet.  Alliteration: water wonderland.
