The Bumper Cars

The Bumper Cars is a humorous and realistic fiction story about children getting in different coloured bumper cars. When a girl gets in the green car, the tire falls off and bounces into the ball pit! Readers gain information from the text, illustrations, storyboard, and speech bubble.

The Bumper Cars uses the sentence stem “The _____ car is for me.” Illustrations match the text. The story includes triggering in questions. There are critical thinking questions to guide the reader.
