Step into the Rainforest is an informational text about rainforests including what rainforests are, where they are located, animals and plants that live in the rainforest, and some dangers to the rainforest. 

The book is divided into chapters and has a table of contents.  Sentences vary in length and structure.  Labelled photographs and maps support and extend the text.  

Potentially new words such as canopy, rainfall, temperate rainforest, and understory are defined in context and in the glossary.
