Nonfiction Readers 2: Step into the Forest

Step into the Forest is an informational text about forests including what forests are, where they are located, animals and plants that live in the forest, and some dangers to the forest. 

The book is divided into chapters and has a table of contents.  Sentences vary in length and structure.  Labelled photographs, diagrams, and maps support and extend the text.  

Potentially new words such as autumn, cones, evergreen, and rainforest are defined in context and in the glossary.
