Spider's Web

Spider’s Web is a humorous animal fantasy about a spider who keeps trying to make a web and a man who keeps saying “No, no, no, Spider!” until spider spins a web in the garden and the man says, “Yes, yes, yes, Spider!”  The story is told through repetitive language, and speech bubbles are used to capture the man’s spoken words.

Illustrations fully support the text.  A map at the back of the book facilitates retelling. Commas and exclamation marks are used.

The text is composed of a few easy, high-frequency words, and features the interest words spider, web, kitchen, bathroom, and garden.
