Sid Sneaky is a humorous narrative.  Sid Sneaky buys Lolla the cow and takes her on the road, charging $10 for customers to see the black markings on her hide in the shape of North and South America.  But Lolla gets homesick for the farm, and something very unfortunate happens to her money-making markings when she become fat eating cupcakes and French fries…   The story is told in dialogue and narrative.

The story follows a problem solution structure.  The text is composed of a variety of sentence typesIllustrations support the text but not all events are illustrated.  Quotation marks and exclamation marks are used.  Boldface and enlarged display type are used for emphasis and clarity.  The book concludes with a two-page spread explaining the characteristics of a narrative.
