Inside Caves

Inside Caves is an expository text describing exploration of some of the planet’s most mysterious places: caves underground, under ice, and under the sea.  The style is informative and conversational.

The text is composed of a variety of sentence types. Captioned and labelled photographs support the text.  A fact box is used to clarify terminology.  An apostrophe is used for contraction.  The book concludes with a graphic organizer and an index.

Some words, such as narrow and glowworms may require clarification.  Several words appear in both singular and plural.  The homonyms to/two/too and their/there appear.
