Parrots

Parrots is an expository text that invites readers to learn about parrots' appearance, their babies, and their homes.

Some photographs are labeled. Zoomed in images add more detail. An index is included.

Interest words include rain forest, ground, beaks, feathers, steal, and trap. Simple connectives such as and are used. A drawing activity that asks students to compare the similarities and differences between a parrot and another bird is presented in the Teacher’s Guide Notes.
