Bat and Parrot

Bat and Parrot is an animal fantasy about a bat and a parrot who copy one another’s movements and try to outsmart one another.  Simple dialogue is used.

Illustrative text is used alongside illustrations that fully support the text. A word for sound, CRASH!, is used. To conclude, a Flow Diagram is presented that supports retelling

The text is composed of a few easy, high-frequency words such as can and said, and features the interest words bat, parrot, hang, eat, swim, fly, and crash. Activities that promote oral, visual, and written communication are found in the Teacher’s Guide notes.
