Food from the Water

Food from the Water is an expository text that shows readers how animals and people can get food from the water. Readers see birds catching fish, bears catching fish, and humans catching fish.

Photographs support important content and some are labeled. Illustrations add detail and interest to the text and are found on each page. Callouts prompt prediction and allow students to make inferences. Bullet points are used on one page. An index is presented.
