Fiction Readers: Tiddalick: The Greedy Frog

Tiddalick the Greedy Frog is an Australian Aboriginal animal story about a greedy, giant frog named Tiddalick who drank all the water on earth causing the world to go into a massive drought. 

The story unfolds chronologically in third-person narrative following a single plot line.  The format is beginning chapter book with illustrations that support and enhance the text. 

Tiddalick the Greedy Frog uses some simple adjectives and descriptive language with a wide variety of punctuation (period, comma, quotation marks, question marks, and exclamation points). A lot of dialogue is presented within the text in a variety of ways, including dialogue from multiple characters.
