Animals in the Mountains is an informational text about animals that can live in the mountains.  The text has the repeating language pattern “This ________ can live in the mountains.”

All the sentences are short and predictable.  Vibrant photographs match the text directly.  Each two-page spread shows an animal in a mountain habitat and a labelled inset photograph.  The final two-page spread has cameo photographs of all the animals and an index.
