Animal Skeletons

Animal Skeletons is a factual text that invites readers to learn about the skeletal structures of different animals.

Illustrations support the text. Each two-page spread presents an image of the animal as well as its skeleton. Some body parts are labeled in each picture. An index is presented.

Interest words include skeleton, wings, head, and fangs. Some simple adjectives are used to describe parts of the skeleton. An activity that invites students to think about animal skeletons is shown in the Teacher’s Guide notes.
