You Can Have a Party Anywhere is a humorous and realistic fiction story about a boy, Tom, who was embarrassed to go to a party in his silver spacesuit. The day did not get better when his mom’s truck broke down and the people backed up behind them started to get angry. A friendly man called for help and started a party on the road for Tom! The story is narrated with dialogue, thought bubbles, speech bubbles, and onomatopoeia.

You Can Have a Party Anywhere is a simple narrative story. Critical thinking questions are provided to guide the reader. Illustrations match the text. A visual information guide is provided for teachers to draw students’ attention to the purpose of illustrative fonts as well as the information, layout, and design of invitations.
