Weather Alert

Weather Alert! is an informational report about storms including information on thunderstorms, tornados, cyclones, hurricanes, and typhoons. The book also discusses text connections, planning an informational report, and features of an informational report.

The text is divided into sections and has a Contents.  A variety of sentence types is used.  Captioned photographs, diagrams, maps, and tables support and enhance the text.  Text boxes call attention to literary features and prompt the use of comprehension strategies, such as questioning, predicting, and clarifying.  An index is provided.
