Volunteers

Volunteers is an expository text that describes the many ways volunteers help in their communities, from keeping public spaces tidy to fire fighting to helping the disabled.  The style is informative and conversational.

The text is composed of a variety of sentence types.  Captioned photographs support the text directly. A bulleted list provides additional information.  The book concludes with a photographic summary and an index. 

Some words may require clarification: difference, in need, guide dog.  The suffixes -ing (planting) and -ly (badly) are used.
