The Hole Truth
The Hole Truth is a humorous science fiction story. General Idy Ot sends the spaceship Star Wreck on a mission to discover the secret power of Black Holes, and everyone is surprised by “the hole truth.” The story is told with dialogue, narrative, and text embedded in art.
The story follows a problem solution structure. The text is composed of a variety of sentence types. Illustrations support the text but not all events are illustrated. Quotation marks and exclamation marks are used. Boldface and enlarged display type are used for emphasis and clarity. The book concludes with a two-page spread explaining the characteristics of a science fiction story.
Some words may require clarification: general, saluted, pumped, laser-powered, anti-matter, mission, bad dude, cowered, stuttered. Simile: like an anxious rooster. Alliteration: purple paws, feathered feet, monstrous mouth.
