The Boat

A Boat is a realistic, humorous story about a sailor with a telescope.  On each two-page spread he sees something new then has a humorous collision or encounter with what he’s discovered.  In the end, the sailor’s boat crashes, and he’s rescued by a dolphin. The book focuses on the sentence stem “I can see a ___________.”

All the sentences are short and predictable.  One speech balloon appears as the happy ending to the story.  Illustrations match the text and add meaning.
