The Balloon Ride

The Balloon Ride is a realistic, humorous story about a woman in a hot air balloon looking at the world below through a spy glass.  When a bird punctures her balloon, she gets a very close view of a picnic!  The book focuses on the sentence stem “I can see the ____________.”

All the sentences are short and predictable.  One speech bubble appears as the punch line to the story.  Illustrations match the text directly with the added interest of an inset map that shows where the balloon is as it travels.
