Storms

Storms is an expository text that invites readers to learn about the different kinds of storms that can take place on the Earth. Dust storms, sandstorms, and snowstorms are some of the storms that are discussed.

Labeled illustrations enhance and extend the meaning of the text and are found on each page. Callouts prompt prediction and allow students to make inferences. An index is presented.

Some adjectives are used. To conclude, a yes/no chart is shown that asks readers to decide what clothing choices are best for a snowstorm and a sandstorm is presented. In addition, a word bank with text and imagery is provided.
