Stomachs is an informational explanation.  The text explains how different creatures use their stomachs to gain energy, from the four-stomached cow to the inside/outside stomach of the starfish.  The style is informative and conversational.

Some words, such as muscles, pouch, poisonous, cuds, and energy may require clarification.  The nouns stomach, cow, frog, rabbit, and starfish are used.  The verbs eat, chew, and push are used.  The following singular/plural pairs are used: stomach/stomachs, stone/stones, insect/insects.
