Snakes

Snakes is an expository text that explores how snakes move, find food, and how they interact with people.

Photographs enhance meaning and are labeled. An index is included.

Interest words include snake, forest, anaconda, and fangs. Some sentences begin with independent clauses. Some simple connectives such as but are used. An activity that asks students to think about other animals that do not have legs is presented in the Teacher’s Guide Notes.
