Robot Helpers is an informational report.  The text describes how robots fight fires, do factory jobs, do housework, help doctors, and help scientists.  For example, robots work in car factories and chocolate factories.  They can mow the lawn and vacuum the floor.  And they can help scientists study planets in space.  The style is informative and conversational.

The book has a table of contents and is divided into six sections, an introduction and five sections supporting the main idea.  The text is composed of a variety of sentence typesCaptioned and labelled photographs support the text and add meaning. Some words, such as factories, panels, programmed, operations, and tumbleweed may require clarification.  Several words are used in both singular and plural: robot/robots, factory/factories, volcano/volcanoes.
