Nests

Nests is an expository text that shows children the nests of different animals. The sentence “Here is a nest” is repeated throughout the text.

Pictures of each animal and their nests are depicted on a two-page spread. The animal that occupies the nest is labeled on each page.

Interest words include nest, mouse, wasps, bird, chimp, and ants. The text is composed of a few high-frequency words. An index is located at the end of the book and is organized by animal.
