My Donkey Can Read

My Donkey Can Read is a humorous story about a donkey with a voracious appetite and the smarts and sweet good looks to convince the chickens, cows, pigs, and passersby to give him treats. The story is told in dialogue and simple narrative.

Simple and compound sentences are used.  Humorous illustrations match the text directly and add meaning.  Speech balloons and important text appear in art.  Quotation marks are used in dialogue.  Exclamation marks are used for emphasis. 

Some vocabulary may require clarification: treats, fluttered, collect, roly-poly, mischief.  The contractions it’s, he’s, didn’t, there’s, don’t couldn’t, and you’re are used.
