Monkey's Ride

Monkey’s Ride is a humorous, animal fantasy about a monkey who wants his animal friends to take him on a fast ride. After his other friends are too slow, Monkey rides on tiger’s back and goes too fast through the mud and water. Monkey jumps off before tiger realizes.

To begin, the characters and setting are introduced. Illustrations add detail, interest, and humour to the text and are found on each page. Callouts prompt prediction and allow students to make inferences.

There are some adjectives are used. Dialogue is used between animals.  To conclude, an accurate and an inaccurate story sequence is presented. In addition, a Word Bank is offered with images to support each word.
