Hiding

Hiding is a nonfiction text that shows children some of the places that animals can hide.

The picture of each animal is presented on a two-page spread which includes a labeled image of each animal in and out of hiding.

Interest words include grass, hide, forest, and leaves. The text is composed of a few high-frequency words such as this, can, and too. An index is located at the end of the book and includes each animal’s hiding place and the corresponding page numbers.
