Learn about the world of optics, where light bends to help us see the sights! Most of us rely on our eyes to see and understand the world. Yet, human eyes are far from perfect. Innovations such as glasses, goggles, and prisms have changed how we see the world. Light is the key to sight!

Created in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution, this book builds students' literacy skills while fostering curiosity, creativity, and innovation. It features a hands-on STEAM challenge that guides students through each step of the engineering design process and is ideal for makerspace activities.
