Eyes

Eyes is a nonfiction text that shows children the different types of eyes that animals can have. The sentences “Look at the _____” and “Look at the eyes” are repeated throughout the book.

The picture of each animal is presented on a two-page spread which includes a labelled, close-up image of each animal’s eye.

Interest words include spider, dog, fly, owl, and crocodile. The text is composed of a few high-frequency words such as look. An index is located at the end of the book and includes each animal and their corresponding page numbers.
