Don’t Touch is an expository text about things that people do not touch because they are poisonous, such as particular bottles of chemicals, caterpillars, frogs, and snakes.

Some photographs are labelled with the words poison while others label animals and their poisonous parts. To conclude, an index is provided along with images of the poisonous animals and bottles that were discussed.

Interest words include cupboard, dangerous, touch, shed, and poison. Adjectives are used in sentences. A drawing activity that asks students to think about other poisonous items or creatures is presented in the Teacher’s Guide Notes.
