Dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs is an informational text about the physical features of dinosaurs.  The text is largely composed of several repeating language patterns, such as “Look at this ________” and “This dinosaur has ________”

All the sentences are short and mostly predictable.  Realistic illustrations show a different dinosaur on each two-page spread.  Labelled inset illustrations and arrows are used to highlight body parts, such as wings and claws.  The final sentence ends in an exclamation mark.  The book concludes with a graphic organizer and an index.

The high frequency words are look, at, and has.  Interest words include dinosaur, sharp, and spikes.
